7th October 2013- This is the first week where I got handed the preliminary material and I planned my preliminary exercise which was to create a front cover for a school magazine and to create a flat pan for the front cover and contents page of the magazine

14th October 2013- This week I started to create my flat plan so I could understand what needs to go where,what size and what colour everything will be on the school magazine before I create it using photoshop,this is a easy and aesthetically appealing way to plan my preliminary material. After all of this I then started to create my preliminary exercise on the computer using photoshop,I changed a few things from my flat plan to improve the overall look,I used photographs that I took myself.

21st October 2013- The week commencing the 21st I successfully uploaded my project brief and my preliminary exercise on to my blogger account except for the flat plan for the contents page as I had trouble uploading it. After uploading I then started to look and analyse different types of music magazines.

28th October 2013- During half term I had to complete 4 analysis' of music magazines and I completed them to the best of my ability and successfully uploaded them all to my blogger account.

4th November 2013- By this date I have still not successfully scanned in my flat plan for the contents page as I still had trouble with it. I made sure every other piece of work set was completed successfully and uploaded successfully to my blogger account.

11th November 2013- This week I created a questionnaire using the website surveymonkey.com,this enabled me to create a questionnaire/survey lasting 10 questions,I asked questions surrounding music magazines,from this exercise I collected 30 responses from family/friends and put the responses in to a chart/graph so I can understand and see more visually what people want from a music magazine which will help me when I come to creating the real thing.

18th November  2013-  The week commencing the 18th of November I analysed various different survey results I from my online survey in order to see what people want included in a music magazine and what interests them,I used this information  and put the information in to pie charts to make the results of the survey stand out and will make the information readier to read.

25th November 2013- I started my vox pops the week commencing the 25th of November,the vox  pops included 3 questions regarding music magazines,I chose the questions in to relation to my survey  results  to make the questions relevant to my information I gathered,this helped me get the information on what my  target audience wants.

2nd December 2013-By this date I was near to finishing filming my vox pops because I have gathered enough information from various different people so I had a good understanding of what people wanted,I then edited my clips on Adobe after affects to merge the clip in to one making the video seem professional and easily understandable . After editing I uploaded the video to my my blogger account.

9th December 2013-  The week commencing the 9th of December I finished my vox pops and started finalising them to upload on blogger. The rest of the week i started to analyse doublepage spreads on existing magazines.

16th December 2013-The week commencing the 16th of December I finalised analysing my double page spreads,i got 3 existing music magazines and analysed them by talking about the codes and conventions that have been used,i then uploaded it to my blogger account.

23rd December 2013- During the Christmas holidays I caught up on any outstanding work, I improved any work I had to improve on, this included analysing contents pages and double page spreads so this will give me a lot of guidance when creating my magazine front cover as I know her looks good and what is successful on the market already.

30th December 2013-Coming to the end of the christmas holidays I didn't have too much to do as I was prepared and ready to start commencing my main task  when I get back to school but I researched  more and more music magazine front covers so I could get inspiration for my own work.

6th January 2014- The week commencing the 6th of January was where I had to start my main task,to do this the first thing I had to do was to take more test shots of different people to help me decide what person would look best on my magazine front cover.

13th January 2014- By this date I had figured out who I want on my front cover of my magazine and the person I chose was Stef as I thought the pictures I took of her best fitted my genre of pop.I took photographs in different areas around the school to see a difference with the background,lighting and contrast, Some of the photos are shown below.Once I chose my favourite photograph I started editing on Photoshop,getting to the end of this week my front cover started to take shape with the main image and some text In place.

20th January 2014- At the beginning of this week I was looking at finalising my front cover as I included everything I wanted to include, I started to create my contents page mid way through the week, I done this by looking back at my research to create a good standard contents page which would appeal to my target audience. I looked at the conventions that are most popular in contents pages

27th January 2014-This week I started to finalise my contents page and added the finishing touches to make sure my product is up to scratch.

3rd February 2014- The week commencing the 3rd of February I finished finalising my contents page and added this to my blogger, I also updated my blogger with other improvements to make sure my blogger account was up to scratch and everything was included, the overall presentation of my account needed improvements and these improvements have been completed.

10th February 2014-This week I started looking at my double page spread and how I could design it to make it suitable for my target audience.

17th February 2014- As this week was during the half term I cracked on with outstanding work like the evaluation questions in my free time but came in to school to finalise Photoshop work as I don't have Photoshop installed in my computer at home,I started to finish my evaluation questions and how I could improve all that I have completed.

24th February 2014- This week I had all my evaluation questions on blogger and they were all working correctly,everything was in place and i finalised my product to make sure i had it complete to the best possible standard. Later on this week i started preparing for my exam.
